    example
    A5 is a numbered cell that will change on occasion. In another function of the sheet cell Q5 represents the same data as prison cell A5. I want to be able to change that data in either prison cell.
    Today A5 and Q5 would be the number 10, merely tomorrow I need them to be changed to 12 only I don't want to have to go to each jail cell to make the change because the two cells will ever exist equal to each other. I'd also like to be able to make the alter in either location and accept the other cell change automatically too.

    I am currently facing a problem where I accept to add a row within rows. It's not a table. I take to re-create down all the formulas from the above row to the newly created row. In the above row some cells have the formula and some has values without formulas. I just need to copy down the formulas.

    I select the entire row via shift+space. I press f5 to open a Get TO window, click on special and become to formula. Now i have those cells highlight which have formulas. I copy them and paste them in the newly created row but information technology does non work.

      It is not very convenient to fulfill this task in Excel. Please add together a Helper cavalcade, enter the post-obit formula there:
      ="AB"&$A2

      Where "AB" is letter of the alphabet(s) yous want to add, $A2 is the outset jail cell with data in your column.

      Delight insert the following formula into the Destination column and copy it down:
      =IF(Mod(ROW(),5)=one,INDIRECT("A"&ROW()),"-")

      Where "A" is the name of the original column.

      If in the sixth row you lot want to get the value from cell A2, not from A6, then use this formula:
      =IF(MOD(ROW(),five)=i,INDIRECT("A"&INT((ROW()+five)/5)),"-")

      To replace the formula with the values, please select the entire cavalcade, press Ctrl + C, and so Shift + F10 and and then 5.

    I've created a spreadsheet for statistical purposes simply have problems when trying to copy formulas from i sheet to another.

    I'm looking at data ranges for unlike elements with the Mean, Range and Standard Deviation. For each entry I'm using a formula similar: =STDEV('XRF Edited'!H2:H14, then for the next element =STDEV('XRF Edited'!I2:I14. The simply variable for that is changing is the column and preceding alphabetic character. I've tried the trusted drag and drop to copy the formulas simply this will only copy whats been done.

    Are they any quick methods for copying these formulas, which accept into consideration only the column alphabetic character changing each time? I've looked at the absolute and relative prison cell references just neither seem to fix the issue.

    I accept in column 'A' 3000 entries. Some are repeated values similar i350, i560,e900 etc which lawmaking for a specific name i.e. i350=apple tree, for example.

    Column B is empty, So what I'k Doing at the moment is; using ctrl+f to find 'i350' (of which there will be 300ish scattered throughout column A) then pasting 'apple' into cavalcade B beside it. This is very time consuming and inefficient and is hurting my wrists a lot considering I have 15000 to do. I would love to be able to just find say 'i350' and use some sort of function push button to paste 'apple tree' in cavalcade B right beside all the i350s in column A. IS this possible?

    I could put them all alphabetically and but drag downward copy and paste when they are all in a row but I demand the values in column A to stay in the order they are in, so i tin can't just paste them in and undo it twice to get back to the same order either.

    Any assist would exist about appreciated!

      Sorry, I have not written the article still. Anyhow, this is no simple solution.

      Y'all tin can create a helper cavalcade, east.g. column F, supposing that column E contains telephone numbers.

      To add together zeros to all tel numbers, enter the following formula in cell F2:
      ="0"&E2

      If y'all need to add "0" only to some of the numbers that comprise fewer than the specified number of characters, 8 characters in my example (including digits, dashes and whatsoever special symbols), use this formula:
      =if(len(E2)<viii, "0"&E2, E2)

      Then copy the values from the Helper column to your master column in this way: select the entire column F, press Ctrl+C, select column D, press Shift+F10 and and then V (this is a shortcut for Paste special - Values).

      Afterward that remove the helper column.

      a very simple manner is to utilise the above cell content then you lot can easily copy the formula in all the belove cells, then they all get the same value of the offset cell and whenever y'all modify the first jail cell'south value they all will change at the same time. TADA! ;)
